"Bet we'll hear some Journey."

Yesterday morning I discovered I had issues with the song "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Raindeer."

I know, I know, it's a complaint out of season, but bear with me.

It's the beginning that annoys me: "You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer" and so on, "But do you recall the most famous raindeer of all?"

Okay, if he's the most famous of the lot, why would we remember anything other than him? I mean, hell. That's like saying, "You are clearly familiar with the work of Carl Perkins. But have you ever heard of Elvis Presley?" Or some shit to that effect.

I wanted to write this entry when I got in last night, but it was late, and I wanted my post to be taken seriously, not like a drunken rambling of the 2 a.m. variety.

Not that I was drunk last night, though I did have a drink when I wasn't planning to. Are screened a couple of movies for us last night at the request of Spotted Ass Woman, and afterward we headed to Don-Ho's. The fact that Dreama a.) remembered my drink and offered me one and b.) carded Bob and Julia and not any of the assholes made it impossible to order just ginger ale. Plus, even though I'm dividing my week between Roanoke and Pittsburgh, I still had to drink to Spring Break.

Reason #9487935983098 Bob is rad: His Karaoke song is "Winds of Change" by the Scorpions. Alas, they didn't have any Scorpions in the catalogue last night, so we had to settle for Kay-van-Bee's (surprisingly good) Roy Orbison impersonation, and (wait for it) Marjorie's "Take Me Home Country Road." Aw.

What I'm wearing: pj's, and you're probably sick of hearing me describe them

What I'm reading: my mom on the phone

What I'm doing after this: spring break!!
