26 February 2002 - 4:21 p.m. Io sono una bella attrice e scrittrice!!I am going to be in another student film! Oh, how I love student films!! This one is called "The Boink." How porn does that sound? Actually, it's about this woman who's an activist. I'd never actually be in a porno. I just like being in student films with porn-esque names. I had an idea for a new screenplay last night, and though I hate to tell people what my ideas are for fear that they will steal them (but I have Stalkmeter, so don't get any fancy ideas!). But Gus and I got into an argument over this one, and I need your opinions to settle this. See, for a long time, I've been wanting to make a Christopher Guestequese improv-type movie. But I have no funding, no equipment, and no directorial skills. But I can write a bitchin' screenplay. Or, at least, a mediocre screenplay, and mediocre is better than most Hollywood screenwriters. So WHAT IF I wrote a screenplay about some students trying to make a Christopher Guest-esque improv-type-movie? Huh? I can't tell you the subject of the mockumentary. It's not that I don't trust you guys, but that the sheer brilliance would cause your monitor to explode, and then you'd probably hold a big grudge against me and stop reading my diary. Well, really it's because I don't trust you. Now, Gus' reaction to this (and, rightly so) was, "Do you really want to be that post-modern?" Hmm. I don't know. But if the alternative means sticking to light romantic comedies, than I think post-modernism is worth consideration. What about you, dear readers? Will the long and winding po-mo road lead to fame and lots of fellowships for our intrepid herione? Or will it bring her ultimate... well, demise is a bad word to use here, so something less dire than demise? You decide! What I'm wearing: What I'm reading: What I'm doing after this: - - 07 May 2005 Wheee! - 02 November 2004 Inside of my fridge. - 28 October 2004 TV is Stupid. - 24 September 2004 "The only paperback writer who would drive a Buick is like, Tom Clancy." -Gus - 20 September 2004 |
