Ever have a friend apply for a government job? Ever have to talk to a scary military type dude about how cool and loyal and head-over-heels in love said friend is with the US of A? Ever try not to laugh when you are asked if you have ever seen said friend drink alcohol to excess and you remember the story about the day after that party when said friend woke up in an elevator in the University Center with a loaf of bread in his hand? Ever think that the saddest part, even sadder than the fact that you were lying to The Man was that The Man was missing out on a damn funny anecdote about said friend? Ever have to tell a really funny drinking story in super veiled terms because The Man knows where you work, where you live, who your boyfriend is, and therefore must be reading your diary?
