18 April 2003 - 1:59 p.m. Isn't it ironic that everyone hates that alanis Morisette song, but still quotes it anyway?Hugh Hefner produced a documentary on a famous woman silent film director. Apparently he's pretty pro-woman. And not just in the way you'd think. from Hef [email] [homepage] 6:34 pm - Thursday,April 17, 2003 Okay, I may be a victim of my own guestbook popularity, but before I swear off posting replies to guestbook entry, I need to address the above. Gus. What the fuck, man? You're Hugh Hefner now? You're arguing on the behalf of Hugh Hefner? You hate porn more than anyone I know! You refuse to watch porn. You never even went to a $1 showing of porn at CoMputer U., which is, offensive or not, one of said institutions finest traditions. Not that I necessarily think we should watch porn together. I have bad associations with couples watching porn ever since my ex suggested we get some porn. I thought, "Why not?" and asked some folks for recommendations. I don't know why this was my job, but suffice it to say that anyone who remembers that relationship will not be surprised by the fact that I had to do all of the legwork. (I kind of want to make an off-color porn joke here, but I kind of don't want to have to think up an off-color porn joke.) Anyhoo, before we ever got to the actual porn renting, we broke up. And two days later, I saw him before I was ready to, at (you guessed it) one of those $1 porn showings. How ironic. What a fine way for things to come full-circle. At least we can say stuff like, "We'll always have pornos." And, if we're in a Sean Cullen mood, "Thank you for the porn." Even though there never was porn, at least we can drum up some nostalgia if need be.
