Well, I won't be doing independent study in film any time soon.

Apparently, I have "a good eye" for movies that should be focused entirely on Signor Fellini next semester, because someone like me is sure to get a lot out of it.

Fair enough.

But I hate the term "a good eye." It's a compliment that I can't take as one, even when paid to me, on more then one occasion, by someone I respect more than almost anyone.

I mean, why not at least say that I have good eyes? Does numerical accuracy count for nothing? Clearly, I am not a cyclops. I have two eyes, both of which must be fucntioning properly.

Beyond that, I have wit, I have charm, I have brains. I have legs that go all the way down to the floor, my friend.

Don't tell anyone I said that.
